
Jan Lesley Shine
I am a person-centred counsellor, and in my private practice I work with adults of wide-ranging ages and backgrounds. (I do not work with under 18s.) The issues impacting upon my clients’ lives are also wide-ranging, for example depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, relationships, work, bereavement. I also provide specialist adoption support counselling.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteer and work with a community counselling service.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and my practice is aligned to their Ethical Framework. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
Qualifications
Jan has supported me to change the way I process my emotional responses. Jan has helped me understand why I feel the way I do and what has impacted on my low self-esteem
Continuing professional development (CPD)
